Massively multiply your sales with ‘compound marketing’!

In this free marketing guide, taken from The Jim Connolly Newsletter - I am going to show you how to massively multiply the number of sales you make with just a little additional effort. 

The FREE information you are about to read has already been referred to as of more practical, real-life value than marketing programs that sell for hundreds of pounds!

Albert Einstein once said that the most powerful force in the world was compound interest.  Well, today I am telling you that the most powerful force for winning new business is compound marketing!

So - What is Compound marketing?
Compound marketing is what you get when you market your business with a number of techniques that build upon each other – so that their power is greatly multiplied.  As you will know if you have read my previous marketing guides, success in marketing is all about leverage; getting the best return possible on everything you do.  Compound marketing is leverage at its very best!

Here’s a simple example of compound marketing in action.  In this example I have used compound marketing with a mail shot; however, you can easily apply it to any form of marketing you wish.

Here’s how it works
Imagine you were sending mail shots to generate sales for your business and that you currently get a 2% response rate.  That is to say, you send out 100 letters and you get 2 enquiries.  I am also going to assume that your conversion rate is around 1 in 4; so for every 4 enquiries you get, you generate one new client or customer (herein referred to as clients.)

Now, let’s imagine that you were to compound your mail shot – by including an endorsement  within your mail shot letter - from someone that your target market already know and respect.  This endorsement of your services can increase your response rate immediately by 100%, 200% or much more.

So, your 2% response rate has just been increased to at least 4%!

Next, imagine you were to compound your mail shot still further, by making a quick follow-up phone call to the people you wrote to; just to check they received your letter and to answer any questions they might have.  This will usually at least triple the number of enquiries you get and can often lead to a quintuple increase (an increase of five times)!

Your response has just increased from 4% to around 16%!
That means, for every 100 letters you are NOW getting 16 enquiries, instead of the 2 enquiries you started with!

If, as I said at the beginning, you convert 1 in 4 of your enquiries into a client, those 16 enquiries will provide you with an amazing 4 new clients!

However; we have not finished yet!
What if you compound this mail shot even further?  What if you made sure that you or the person dealing with all these new enquiries had been coached in sales and negotiating techniques?  Is it just possible that a trained person would get a better conversion rate than someone with no training whatsoever?  Of course it is!

So, instead of converting 1 in 4 of your enquiries, you are now converting 1 in every 3. 

Your mailing of 100 letters has now generated five new clients!

But what if you compound the mailing even more?  What if you buy a new, up-to-date database that only has details of qualified potential clients with a high-volume need for your products or services?  Not only will you now get even more enquiries (because you are using better data); these new clients will all be high quality; making them exceptionally valuable to your business!

Here is what we have just seen:

Initially
Your 100 letters were generating just 2 enquiries – that’s it!

Now
Your 100 letters are generating 16 enquiries and 5 new clients!

What does this mean to you and your business in real-terms?
If, for example, you are a service provider and your ‘average’ client is worth £1,000 a year in fees to you – and you keep their business for an average of 4 years – your 100 letters will have just generated 5 new clients for you and around £20,000 in business over the next 4 years.

But it gets better – much, much better!
Increase that mailing from 100 letters to 1,000 letters and you can generate £200,000 in new business from that mailing.  Do a mailing just three times a year and you can generate around £600,000 (more than a million dollars) in new business!  That’s more than enough to pay someone to handle your follow-up calls professionally for you – allowing you more time to send out even more letters and make another million or two!

Of course, to see the very best results, you must make sure that every element in the compound marketing process is handled effectively.  After all, a poor quality letter with a meaningless testimonial will generate little if anything!  That’s why I make sure that the letters my clients send are compelling and that they know how to get the right kind of endorsement from the right kind of people – and why I coach them on how to maximise the potential of their follow-up telephone calls and meetings etc.

The key to your success in is to do as my clients do
You must learn how to use compound marketing on everything you do to sell and market your services! 

You have just seen the impact of applying compound marketing to a simple mail shot - just think what will happen when you apply it to:

Your advertising

Your referral network

Your website marketing

Your internet marketing

Your sales pitches

Your email marketing

Your marketing phone calls

Your exhibition marketing

Your forum marketing

Your flyers

Your Article marketing

.... and every other tool in your sales and marketing arsenal!
